SHODEN (1st Degree)

First degree is taken in two days.

• You will learn a basic knowledge about Reiki history and Reiki Ryoho ( hands-on healing art)
• You will be initiated into Reiki by means of "Reiju" or attunement, and you will be able to channel Reiki energy.
• Begin your personal transformation on the healing journey
• Four Reiju or attunements will be given.
• You will receive 21 days of encouraging emails to help establish your practice.

CHUDEN (2nd Degree)

• You will learn 3 Shirushi (Reiki symbols)
• With the use of these Reiki symbols Reiki healing will become more practical and beneficial
• You will learn how to do "distant healing"
• You will practice Reiki Ryoho and learn the steps for a healing session

OKUDEN (3rd Degree)

This is the path to mastery. It is of ourselves that we become masters, and this is a lifetime journey. Begin here to know the deeper steps of Reiki that will open that door to satori (spiritual enlightenment).

• You will enter the inner teaching of Saito Reiki Ryoho Kai
• The focus is on your spiritual cultivation and growth
• You will learn the final Shirushi (Reiki symbol)
• Okuden is intended for those who would like to deepen their inner peace, harmony and balance or to be a candidate for Teacher (Shihan)
• Okuden class is done in a minimum of one two day session, but a student is recommended to take a refresher course
• Two Reiju (attunements) will be given

SHINPIDEN (Teacher)

Class hours: 12 hours + classrom training
Fee: $1100

When the Master is ready to teach and share their life in Reiki on a continuous basis, they can become Shinpiden. At this point, the student will undertake training to run their own Dojo, initiate students into Saito Kai Reiki Ryoho and teach others to follow the Reiki path.

Teen Reiki (Agest 14 - 17)

The fastest growing group of people being affected by stress is our teens. This is a Shoden Degree course which offers tools for stress release and healing. This course will explore the world of energy and healing in simple, everyday language. Most young people are aware of their own energy in some form but have no access to information to understand or use it. During the day, students will explore how energy feels, how it heals and ways to use Reiki to create a positive life for themselves.

Youth Reiki

This is a Shoden Degree course which will explore the world of energy and healing in simple, everyday language. We'll discuss responsibility for ourselves and a bit about understanding others in an energetic sense.

Komyo Reiki Mawashi

Once you become a Komyo Pracititioner, The Dojo is open to you to practice your art. We host Reiki sharing circles each month to allow all Komyo practitioners, 2nd Degree or higher, to share Reiki at the tables. A great opportunity to meet other pracititioners and to receive the give of Reiki energy.

Open Reiki Mawashi

Class hours: 2 hours
Fee: $10

We invite all Reiki praacititioners to join the sharing circle for this eveing. We set up the tables, share some green tea and take turns giving each other this wonderful healing energy of Reiki Ryoho. Registration is appreciated so we can know how many tables, but is not required.

Extended Komyo Reiki Training

Class hours: 2 hours
Fee: $30

As a healing art, Reiki Ryoho can lead both the client and practitioner to discover many new things about the world of energy. At The Dojo, we have set up an extended training program so taht you can become trained in many aspects of energy healing. After Shoden (1st Degree), we invite you to take the sessions that explore some of the basics of the Reiki journey, like chakras, disconnecting from others energy and practicing meditation. In Chuden (2nd Degree) the fine details of understanding the chakras, scanning and disconnecting are a few of the topics covered. Each degree we dive deeper into the path of enlightenment and explore ways in which you can step aside form the ego and come from love. Sessions last two hours each and cost $30. 2011 Summer Reiki Retreat

A beautiful weekend sharing Reiki energy and enjoying the company of Reiki practitioners. Open to all degrees of Reiki, this weekend will empower us to hold center in peace in these times of change. Takes these two days to rejuvenate and become recharged on your Reiki journey.

Program will include meditation, some work in the circle and a focus on creating our own Heaven on Earth as we shift with the new vibrations. We will practice Reiki of course, on each other and in groups. Exercises to establish a deep connection to Earth and our path here at this time will create a memorable experience. Participants will receive one attunement each day. Intention is to explore ourselves at yet a deeper level of understanding.

We invite you to register early to take advantage of the Early Bird discount. Register before May 15th, 2011 Fee is $235 +gst per person. After June 1st, fee is $255 per person. Retreat will be held at the Saito property. Accommodation will be a wonderful camping experience. Bring your tent and bedding. Food is pot luck. We will provide snacks and beverages for the evenings. There is space for RV's or tents. We are hoping to spend most of our time in Mother Nature with cooking taking place in our outdoor kitchen. When we sit in circle together, we enjoy the power of meditation as the energy is shared. It is a wonderful experience to enjoy the guided journey through the chakra system, grounding and clearning. The meditations will sometimes usethe images of The Violet Flame, the Archangels and other guides who may join the circle. A guided visualization using our breath to calm the mind, balance the chakras and re-member we are spiritual beings first. Learn to use this energy body consciously. This course is an introduction to the chakra system and will open the door to learning more about our energy body. Discover why colours mean so much to us, how to balance ourselves energetically and learn to recognize why we react to certain things certain ways and how to change it when we choose. You are in complete control.

The definition of the word chakra means 'wheel'. It is a sanskrit word that has been used for thousands of years to refer to the energy centers in our bodies. There are traditionally 7 of them, although we also work here in Reiki with the 8th and 9th chakras. As we understand what each chakra represents energetically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally, we can take ore control of our lives. These energy centers are the gateways thaht allow us to receive and transmit our energy inside our environment.

Kundalini Yoga

A traditional Kundalini Yoga class from the origins of Yogi Bhajan

In 1969 Kundalini Yoga was formally brought into mainstream American spiritual culture by Yogi Bhajan, a Kundalini Yoga Master from India, who revealed the yoga form to the West as comprehensive spiritual system for personal growth.

Kundalini Yoga combines breath, yogic postures, mantra, and meditation to strengthen health and well being of the physical body, increases mental clarity, emotional clarity, stress relief, and personal transformation. The ancient technology of Kundalini yoga balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system and enhances your creative potential. Kundalini yoga is also called the Yoga of Awareness.

Parenting for a New Vibration

What does it mean to be raising young ones in this day and age? So, the world is shifting and we are bringing up the new generation of leaders for tomorrow. How do we guide them to listen to their spirit? How do we empower them to stay open and keep their hearts true? As this world changes, we will be called upon to change, and so will our cildren be called upon to grow into the next leaders. There is no accident that you are raising these young wonders. We strongly encourage both partners to attend so we are making it reasonable to come. Most of all, we'd like to offer you an opportunity to meet with other parents, feel a bit encouraged as a parent and in the greater picture, we hope that this class offers you ways to raise a higher vibration child.

Class will run on Saturdays each month. Feel free to come often. Group is meant for discussion and on going learning. Learn tools from each other and from the perspective of parenting a higher vibration being. This class is led by Robert and Lorie Saito. As parents of three very connected young women who taught us a lot as they grew us up, we see a remarkable opening in our world for these new beings that wasn't there 25 years ago. We are happy to pass on our experiences and to share with you some of the tools that have worked, and better still, some of the ones that just didn't.

Sacred Space Series

Once you begin to meditate and seek your inner space, creating a sacred space for yourself becomes important. It is possible to find traditions from around the world to assist us in this journey. After 20 years of personal practice, we've evolved a few ways that provide us with ritual and understanding.

In this three session series, we’ll explore the following three areas with your personal space in mind.

1. Clear and Cleanse Your Space

Some steps and options to use for both clearing of the physical stuff and the energy that you no longer need

2. Creating Safe Space

Ritual and elements for setting up a sacred room and circle, tools to create a safe space and ways to use and honor that space

3. Tools for Sacred Space

Using a grid of crystals and other elements to meditate and heal yourself and your space.

These sessions will open the door for self exploration and creating your own meditative space at home. Calling on many eclectic experiences, years of study and practice, instructors Robert and Lorie Saito will share their knowledge and wisdom for this exciting part of your journey. Woman's Circle! This new offering for the women of our community will offer a 5 month exploration of connecting the true inner wisdom that we are seeking. We'll meet the once each month to work through ritual, exercises and discussion to truly understand how we can reclaim our authentic selves.

This circle is facilitated by Shipiden Lorie Saito and Okuden Practitioner Corrie Rhyasen Erdman. Corrie's experience in the mental health industry adds a unique and abundantly rich flavour to this circle. We invite you to commit to yourself for 2 hours each month to reclaim your authentic wisdom.

Crystals For Kids

Most kids have a natural affinity for the crystals of the earth. As helpers and healers, each of them has a job to do here for us. Explore the magical world of crystals during this 2 hour course. Focusing on the rocks we can use for the chakras and how to use a pendulum, this class will teach the kids how to cleanse rocks, how to use them and how to care for them. Introductory information about the chakras is given, but should more be needed, the Chakra Course is a good option.

Children's Summer Camps

Crystals, Chakras & Reiki

The crystals are connecting to kids and adults alike and this summer we're offering summer camps for all ages to explore the power of crystals in healing and meditation. We've designed the courses in two day time frames for the kids and three for adults. Camps will spend the first day understanding our energetic chakra system, then exploring the rocks that assist in balancing those centers. We'll then have some fun with pendulums to understand how to use the rocks for much more than healing. The second day (and third in adult classes) will focus on a first degree Reiki class. Students will learn techniques to manage stress, to learn to take responsibility for and control their own energy field. They will learn to understand their energetic world at a deeper level and then to use the hand positions to heal themselves and release stress in their lives. This is a wonderful way to empower youth and adults alike to know that we are more than this physical manifestation and we can learn to understand the things we cannot see..

An Overview of the History, Design and construction

Class Time: 6 hours
Fee: $155 each

Using video from houses around the world, hands-on learning and an incredible amount of detail, this one day course dispels all myths about straw bale construction and shows you the nitty gritty details that you'll be considering for your project.</p>

This one day overview will focus on the necessary design elements in a straw bale home. We begin with understanding the basics and then cover the details for designing an energy efficient straw bale home. We cover moisture protection, fire safety, insurance, permits, and financing. We'll take a look at the must do's for any design in our Canadian climate and then make sure you know the what NOT to do's for your project.
We suggest that any project will take two years from conception to construction start and that all planning and research make the construction an easier time.

This course will be offered as it is required based on demand. We usually take a summer hiatus with the seminar. The best thing to do is to call or email and put your name on a waiting list. When we have enough interest, we'll run the course. In the meantime, consultation on private projects is available and we invite you to take advantage of over 15 years experience in the natural design and construction field.
